Music Monday

June 12, 2011

There are many versions of this song but Allison Crowe’s rendition is one of my favorites. I personally like the message of the songs sans the orgasmic intonation. Allusion to bible stories such as David eyeing Bathsheba, Samson and Delilah’s story are obvious and some interpreters view this as the meaning of hallelujah in this is sensual. For me, the meaning of Hallelujah will remain; Praise be to Jah, the short form of God’s name.
